Set: Students will come into class and fill out information sheet/contact sheet. Teacher will begin making seating chart and organizing student information. Ask students why it is important to have rules. What happens if rules aren’t followed?
Procedures:
1) Teacher will introduce himself and other students
2) The teacher will read syllabus, stopping to demonstrate or have students demonstrate each of the classroom rules, policies, and procedures.
3) Teacher will cover bathroom policy.
4) Teacher will cover entering class policy.
5) Teacher will cover getting out of desk policy.
6) Teacher will cover talking/raising hand policy.
7) Teacher will cover pencil sharpening policy.
Closure: Teacher will review when to speak, bathroom policy, tardy policy, pencil sharpening policy, etc.
Assessment:
Informal:
Teacher will ask questions to make sure students are aware of procedures and answer any questions students have for clarification.
Formal:
Students will take a quiz on policies and procedures on Wednesday.
