Objectives:
The student will demonstrate knowledge on basic cell structure and function (Biology 7.c).
Materials:
Whiteboard, whiteboard markers, writing utensil, test.
Bell work:
Write the main concepts on the board and ask the student to come up with at least three questions for each. Main concepts: Organelles and their function, cell membrane, passive v active transport, plant v animal cells.
Set:
Review, discuss what you will be doing today (test).
Procedure:
1. Answer review questions.
2. Administer test. Explain that if they finish early, students should a) review their test or b) do the word search on the last page of test.
Closure:
Congratulate them on working hard and preview the next lesson.
Assessment/Evaluation:
Objective: The student will demonstrate knowledge on basic cell structure and function (Biology 7.c).
Formal: The teacher will administer a graded test that will be recorded in the grade book, designed to test the student’s knowledge on cell structure and function.
