Objectives:
The student will demonstrate knowledge on basic cell structure and function (Biology 7.c).
Materials:
Whiteboard, whiteboard markers, writing utensil.
Bell work:
I will write the topics we have covered so far in class. Ask the students to come up with at least four questions each.
Set:
Review, discuss the importance of the post test, tell them what is going on for the day. (Cell review with Mr. Nelson, other reviews, jeapordy)
Procedure:
1. Go over written questions.
2. Systematically go over the main ideas from each topic in the cell (prokaryotes v eukaryotes, organelles, passive /active transport, organization, mitosis, meiosis)
3. Questions from the post test OR pictionary
Closure: Recap. Congratulate them on working hard this summer and lead into the next review.
Assessment/Evaluation:
Objective: The student will demonstrate knowledge on basic cell structure and function (Biology 7.c).
Informal: The teacher will monitor (M) student invovlement in the review activities on the cell (C).
